it was just turning from rain to snow... washing a small bit of overdone road salt off but not much i bet
many days of near 50 degrees (and barely below freezing at night) heated the concrete up to make it just melt upon contact until the sun went down

there was an ICE warning yesterday north by Sioux City, NW Iowa and surrounding area
