Go Pro mount on my 2018 Tacoma 4x4 Off Road

Was told by Dealership that removing this will affect defrosting of the windshield. Is this true?

My Tacoma has the same mount and I have never heard that. Youtube it.

YouTube shows how to use it for a Dash Cam. Can't find nothing about removal.

Take it off. Try to defrost the windshield. If all is normal, then good to go. If its not normal, then reinstall the mount.


This shouldn't be a difficult trial.

Although, if you are under warranty......hesitate with modifying anything. Classic path to voiding the warranty.

My '16 has the go pro mount and I do not have any problem defrosting the windshield. It is just a stick on accessory.
