Kinda weird doing an introduction now since I joined this forum in April of 2014.
Back then I was looking at new Tacoma's. and joined to lurk around and see what people thought about them.
I'd planned on selling my 2000 4.0 Wrangler and buying a Taco. Kept thinking the only off roading I do is driving on the beach, decided to buy a car with killer MPG and just keep the Jeep.
After 4 years of seeing my dad's 5.7 4x4 Tundra and all the cool Tacoma's around here, I sold the car and the Jeep and bought a new Tacoma this past Halloween day.
I usually buy stuff a year or two old, but people were asking high $20K for Tacoma's with over 100K miles on them. I'd only bought one brand new car in my life back in 1978, and thought...what the hell, I'm going to buy the exact truck I want.
I told the sales dude I wanted a V6 4x4 access cab in dark gray. Their cool, but I had zero need for a Off Road or a Sport. I did score a set of wheels off a week old Sport model...hated the standard SR5 wheels.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
