This episode was written based on a REAL LIFE event where Hugh Wilson, the creator of the show, had thrown live turkeys from the back of a truck into a crowd as a promotional stunt gone horribly wrong for WQXI in Atlanta as he was truly unaware that turkeys grown on a farm for food don't fly!
