Your MX4 doesn't have that feature? I would need to make sure I get an updated edition of the MX4 if that's the case, I guess. Definitely leaning back towards the MX4 because of that feature, thanks!
No I got mine and then that came out. I dont care that it leans on the cab it’s got good padding to protect the paint. Not a big deal to me. I use my truck as a truck.
What model is that? I had the G2 on my Tundra for years and it held up fantastic. I’ve had this Mx4 on the Tacoma for 14 months and it’s still like new. I use it all the time. It leaks some but not enough to get anything wet. Just some down the sides of the bed and under my bed mat it goes.
Update: yes, the vp only had a 1 year warranty. When I noticed the failure I contacted BAKflip and ask what type of adhesive I could use to reglue the rubber hinge. The customer service agent asked me to send pics and Proof of Purchase. He then said they stopped producing the vp model and said they are sending me a new g2 model. You can't ask for better customer service than that. 5 stars to Bakflip for product support!
