Hood struts

So I see 2 different ways to mount hood stay struts. Who's installed either??
Need feefback.
Drill or not to drill...

I really like the concept of the Sokie Tech Struts......no drill.

No drill is who I am going to go with a set when I get them. I don't want to increase the chance of rust even by the slightest.

It’s all good,,,after you drill the hole,,use a Q-tip and a dab of paint ( I let it dry,did it a couple of times ) no rust
I watched the no drill video. Wandered if the angle was too much,,looks like they get mounted far back with the hood brackets
This hoods are heavy!
