Knocking noise

When i have my truck turn off and jerk the steering wheel makes a knocking noise what could it be

When I drive too. The steering wheel shakes tires has been balanced 4 times now

Toyota had a TSB on the steering shaft. There's a bearing on the firewall (I think) that may be bad.

What does tsb mean and when i go higher speeds steering wheel shakes. Do you think i only need the lower part replaced

TSB means Technical Service Bulletin but you need to be under warranty.

Steering wheel shaking at speed is wheel balance.

Take it to them and bring them doughnuts and say by the way I have this noise and maybe they will fix it while they are doing the recall.

No but if you have an open recall you should take it to the dealer to get it fixed and I was suggesting the doughnut thing to butter them up so you can say hey I’ve got this noise and there is a TSB for it see what they say. They might just fix it for you since you’re already there for a recall and you brought them doughnuts.

I done the recall once he said the driveline was the cause i need to get the shaft rebalance but come to clue its the sterring shaft
