Lift question Bilstein 5100’s etc

Looking to add 2” of height so I don’t have to upgrade control arms etc. I was looking at the kit from headstrong. Was going to probably do it myself. I’m assuming shops charge outrageous amounts and nothing should be seized it’s got 29k miles 17 limited.

5100’s all zero
887 springs
Do I want a Deaver single or hs 3 leaf aal?

Also I’m assuming I need to take it to the shop to change out the needle bearing?

Looks like it’s about 800 or so bucks from headstrong, would it be cheaper to source from multiple companies?

Would this all I need to do to the truck itself to not have damage?

Hey man, I did a 5100 suspension lift from Bilstein with an added leaf in the rear on my 06; loved it. I was looking at strut spacers early on until a friend smacked the **** out of me. “NO SPACERS”, he said. So buddy and I did the lift in a couple hours with no problems. The biggest issue was the spring compressor for the front struts. I didn’t do any extras like your talking about so your ride should be nice. Good luck

Word. So should I do the 888 or 887 springs?

Also I’m going to run my stock limited 18” should I go with 275/65/18? Seems like a moderate price their LT.. and 65$ cheaper a tire than the 285. Duratracs.

I’m being told I do not need to do my uca’s as I’ll be fine. Confirmation on this?

The stock ucas are good until you go above 3”.

Bilstein 5100 max height setting in front 2.75inch
Rear at one inch with shocks plus I added a leaf, to make a 2inch lift.
My tires are duratracs 265/70/17

No rubber or vibration, had everything done at my dealership. Everything else on my suspension is stock.

Rear shocks provide no lift.

Yes. That means that shock will work with 0" to 1" of lift.. Not ADD 1" of lift . Good lookin truck btw

What coils you use in the front or did you just not spend the extra and bump the shocks all the way up? Lol

What is your ride like compared to original ride now with your lift?
