Greetings from sunny Southern California!

I’ve got a 2006 2WD Tundra, but have recently retired and considering going 4WD to visit some of those places they don’t let you go otherwise. Like White Rim Road, etc. Places I won’t take my street bike either!

Hate the new Tundra, and its recall issues don’t help. So now it’s kind of down to a new Taco, a last of the 4Runners, or wait on the new 4Runner or heaven forbid Land Cruiser.

New prices sure aren’t helping!

I wouldn't buy a first year gen4 tacoma till Toyota worked out all the gremlins. Usually takes them 3 years till you get one with no recalls. 4runners imo, have more care in their manufacturing than these pickups.

You're one of the lucky ones, major reason I held off to 2020. Just about everyone I know that got a first year gen3 taco had some issue having to go back to the dealer. Auto transmission was a biggie that year, not to mention noisy differentials.
