Lowering truck

Is it possible to lower the truck (1015 extended cab) about 2 inches, and what would be involved? We are in our 80's and getting in and out of the truck at times is difficult. Any suggestions or information would be appreciated.

Don't lower it. Generally, this compromises suspension, handling, accelerates component wear.......

Suggest looking into side steps. Less expensive, will help entry/exit, won't mess up the suspension, simple DIY install.

Yep, get yourself a set of side step bars, or running boards to make it easier to access the truck. The mounting points may are already be there on the gen2 truck. I can tell you the gen3 has them. My truck had predator steps. Only issue, they became dangerous during the winter to step on when ice coated them.
