Mother gets arrested

Recently saw on the news a mother was aresseted in Georgia for allowing her nearly 11 year old son to walk less than a mile into town for an errand in broad daylight. Police charged her with reckless endangerment. She now faces jail time. I can't believe this bs when I heard it. What is this pussfied country coming to? I remember us as kids as 7 year olds use to walk miles anywhere we pleased. I even walked to school several times over 2 miles away when I missed the bus. Just blows my mind.

LOL...it is frecked up today. But things aren't the same by any means as they were 30-50 years ago.
Seems like there might be more to the story we're not let to see.

Idk, haven't heard anything from the police side, only that they're willing to drop the charges if the mother installs a gps tracker on her son.....which is bs. Must be a rough neighborhood?

I saw that story on a YouTube channel I'm subscribed to, totally agree it's bs! I saw one video where I believe an attorney is apparently taking her case but I haven't actually watched that one yet! I stayed home alone quite a bit at that age myself! I can remember being home during the summer and having to do household chores while my parents were at work!

She's had a lawyer from the time she was charged for reckless endangerment. To this day Idk anymore than that.
Heck when I grew up both my parents had jobs. I was pretty much on my own all day at that age to wander anywhere I wanted. I had other friends in the neighborhood roughly my age to hang out with that had a similar situation, we use get into all sorts of mischief pulling pranks on people. Even the cops knew us all well if you get my drift, but we never got into any serious trouble.
