Hi Folks, Jim here. First off I have always been a Ford truck guy, but that recently changed. I was driving an F-150, and my DD was an 06 Mustang GT. But, a guy came along with more dollars than he had sense, and made me an offer on the Mustang I couldn't refuse, and that set off a chain of unexpected events. The bride, and I decided we were going to buy that Jeep we always wanted. So, we took the money from the sale, the F-150, and traded for a new Wrangler. Then of course that set off a new event. The Mustang had been my project car, so that was gone. The truck was, well....my truck. So, I had no project, and no truck. I started looking for a mini truck as a project to keep me out of the brides hair. As you all know used mini trucks in good shape are hard to find, and a Ranger was in that group. So I opened up my search, and one day this little '92 (pre-Taco) popped up. It had been owned by two older gentleman prior, the last selling for the same reason the first sold. He couldn't drive it much due to his health, and it had set in his car port for the better part of the last three years. I took a look, found it in excellent shape for a 27 year old truck, made the offer, and drove it home. I've done all the required maintenance, installed new wheels/tires and bed cover. In my many years I never though I would become a Toyota truck guy, but damn...this little thing has changed me. So, one day I see a new Taco in the driveway. I hope to learn from you good folks before that day comes, and I thank you in advance for bearing with my not so intelligent questions. It's a '92 DXL, 2.4L (22RE) A/T w/88K miles. I'll post some pictures as soon as I meet the requirements of the forum.
