I’m looking to do an OME suspension kit on my 17 OR. I’m curious to see which kit those with over landing tendencies have gone with. It won’t be loaded all the time so I don’t want to go with the heavy. I’m not doing a habitat or anything that heavy. It’ll be supporting a almost cab high steel rack and an ARB Simpson III plus supplies. I’m trying to decide between the Stock Sport and the Medium. I know I can pick a la carte but the only difference is the leaf pack. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks ahead of time.

In all honesty I would put all that on a trailer and leave the truck unloaded. My buddy is going through all this again right now because he didn't want to get a trailer from the start. The truck sags so he want's to put leaf springs on it but can't because the King shocks don't allow for much lift. Just trying to pass on my advice but in the end it's your call.

If you don’t have the money to do it right on the truck a trailer would be a great idea but not the easiest to overland with.

It's the same in my book. You can't do much in either configuration and most just park and sleep anyway.

Trailer is best but yeah at the end of the day these trucks don't like weight. Told my friend, warned him twice and I still got to hear about it not working out.

The trailer is the way to go. My trailer is 600lbs empty. It has a 9k axel (thanks us military!) pulled behind my ball-less Jeep (traded for a Tacoma) its like you done even know its there....
