This evening I came across this video. It is of an expedition that was funded completely by those who did the trip. They were regular guys who took the time to have an adventure. Sure they had some great gear with them and they did outfit their vehicles wonderfully, but they didn't have all the fancy stuff piled on their rigs like I see people doing today. Oh, and since this was in 1978 they didn't have GPS, they relied on locals and maps.
The audio isn't all that great but the story is.
