I paid 28,543 last year for my 2015 SR5 4x4 in June of this year so I am not displeased with the 2016 trd off-road price.

I use this one for the streets and the other for cruising the trails.ImageUploadedByTaco Forum1446103564.976359.jpg

I'm paying 37,600 which is 1500 below MSRP with the packages and options I wanted. OTD will be a bit over 40k. Hard to negotiate because I'm looking for the JBL package and no one has it here (MD), so special order it is!

Yeah I got a great deal must of been the fact I bought the 2015 Tacoma 1 year before and didn't trade in anything. Still got both trucks but I still get better gas mileage out of my 4.0 2015 Tacoma when I did same drive at same speed and figured I get 22 mpg on 2015 and I can't get any better than 18 on my 2016. I also can see I have more power from take off on the 2015. I would love to have seen the 4.0 with a 6 speed automatic. I bet I would of had a better running truck with the 4.0 than the new Atkinson motor. Smh

You have the new 3.5v6 right? I thought the have more HP? Around 286 I heard.

I stopped by a dealer tonight. He said they won't come down off msrp. I won't be going back there.

How much above or below MSRP did you pay for a 2016 Tacoma?
Hi:
Just ordered a "Silver" TRD Sport RWD SB Auto V6, w/ Tonneau, Tow, All-Weather floor mats and sill protectors. Got $1,345 off MSRP. Paid that back in sales tax and tags! Won't get it until December or January (not too many around to be had). Dealer said that the new "Quicksand" color difficult to get. Seems that supply is lagging a bit (but it's early yet)?hth

To be totally honest I believe the 4.0 is a way better engine than the new 3.5. Also I cannot believe it has more hp nor better torque. I own the 2015 and 2016 and I can accelerate faster in the 4.0. . I also noticed better mileage in the 4.0 as the 3.5 is constantly downshifting out of overdrive to speed up so mpg is def not improved in the truck. I get better gas mileage in my 2015 that seems to have more power than the 2016 with 6 gears. Def a disappointment in that area. However everything in the cabin is def an improvement over the 15. Also I would defiantly say the 2016 is a way quieter with less air noise. So tit for tat anyone looking for better gas mileage out of the 3.5 engine with more power and torque. I call Toyota out on it. I would rather have the 4.0 with the six speed transmission than this new 3.5. Just my 2cents.

msrp on mine was $393xx.00 then they added bed lights, painted pin strip, and LED daytime running fog lights, and film protection, which put sticker over $40,xxx.00 TRD OFF Rd, Prem package with mats and bed cover.

I got it for $36,100.00
