Recommended Auto Glass Repair Services in Twin Cities for Tacoma Owners?

Hey fellow Tacoma owners,

Just wanted to share a solid recommendation if anyone around the Twin Cities area is dealing with cracked or chipped auto glass — especially windshields (which I know is a common issue on long highway drives or after off-roading).

Last week, I got a pretty nasty chip on my 2019 TRD Off-Road windshield. I was worried it would need full replacement (especially with all the sensors), but I found a local shop called Lucken Auto Glass that specializes in auto glass repair services in Twin Cities — and they saved me big time.

Here’s why I’m posting about them:
  • ️ They repaired the crack instead of replacing the whole glass, saving me $$$.
  • They were familiar with Tacoma windshields and the tech/sensor setup — didn’t mess anything up.
  • Gave me a free quote, quick turnaround, and lifetime warranty on the repair.
  • ‍ It’s a local business, not a national chain — super professional but friendly vibe.
Repair took under an hour, and you can barely see the damage anymore. No distortion, and everything calibrated properly afterward. If you’re around Minneapolis, Saint Paul, or anywhere in the Twin Cities Metro and need quick, professional work, I’d definitely recommend checking them out.

Has anyone else here had glass issues on their Tacoma? Did you repair or replace? Curious if others had similar luck with local shops.

Here in connecticut when I had my tundra, if you have a chip in your windshield it's illegal for them to just repair it. Windshield must be replaced. I would guess it's pretty similar elsewhere.

All I remember one glass repair shop telling me there are some very crazy laws on windshields that the chip can't be any larger than a quarter, and must not be on the driver side of the windshield if trying to do a repair. Most independent glass shops here won't touch a chipped windshield no matter the chip location, or size. It's pretty much the same for surrounding states. Also if the chip is larger than a quarter... a cop stops you, and sees it, you will get a fine.
