RR DIFF LOCK

08 Toyota Tacoma.... TRD OFF ROAD - 4 door 4x4

I'm having trouble with my rr diff lock not engaging.... I've taken it off and cleaned it good, put it back on.... All I can get it to do is click.... I've drove frontwards and backwards trying to get it to lock.... Yes I have it in 4lo and 1st gear.... All it will do is click... Any help?
 
Turn the wheel left to right as you drive forward. Same thing when you go to unlock.

Are you certain you are in low range? The light should be solid. Gear selection with the trans doesn't matter.
 
Slightly off topic.... when we went to death valley, i had to lock thru some sandy stuffs...
When i went to unlock, i could hear the click, but the light never shut off. I was scurred cuz we needed to transition back to highway.

Minutes of circles, clicks, worries, cussing...restarting....

Then I looked up.... instead of turning off my abs kill, i turned off the lighbar arm switch. So my abs and locker light stayed on as it should.... even tho the locker disengaged.

Thats my story...... that and, use it or lose it.
