Sagging rear end under load

New owner, when have a load in the bed, I have notice significant sag in rear of truck. What do you recommend to fix this? Looking at helper springs, add a leaf and air bags. What have you all done?

Progressive add a leaf, or a new leafpack.

Wheeler's makes a full replacement leaf pack but yeah these trucks aren't good at being trucks.

If mech inclined (just a little) you can rebuild your old springs for cheap, this was the first leafs I rebuilt for my truck & have done many more since...

& you can do the same for 2nd/3rd gens as well...These gave a solid 3" lift for 2nd gens...

Same suspension since 05. I’d call them to verify.

As far as hardware goes you may or may not need new U bolts (ideally should replace ,but not always) You need new axle center pins, As far as the donor springs to be used, it's time to go to the wrecking yard...

Is the "2000lbs" supposed to be some kinda rating?

EDIT.... i see now, thankfully they include this part that most ppl dont seem to commonsense about.

Made to increase capacity but don't exceed vehicle ratings?

But this is why people buy intakes though. "Up to" XX horsepower increase.

They increase the capacity you can haul before the back end starts to sag not the total carrying capacity
