Small front mud flaps

Like any mudflap they are there to protect your paint and the vehicle behind you. Yes you can take them off.

They are on the front. In front of the tire. Has nothing to do with the car behind me. They are not wide enough to cover the tire.
 
I am planning to take them off this weekend. I always forget to wash them when I clean my truck. Plus I just don't like the way the look.
 
Just removed them. I think it looks a lot better. They may protect the cv boot. I can see the outer boot now. Not sure if I could before.
