Steering volume control 3rd gen

I love my truck but the volume control on the steering wheel is backwards to me and hard to get use to. I always forget it’s horizontal and will hit up for volume and will change the song on Pandora. Drives me fking crazy. Is there anyway to remove it and turn it counter clockwise so that the volume is pointing up and down?

I haven't had the controls open on any Taco but I'm guessing it's all one circuit board so it can't easily be turned. You can however change what the buttons do when you use a iDatalink Maestro unit with an aftermarket headunit.
