I have 2014 taco original stock. I would like to lift can’t decided whether shall I get 3” lift or 6”?

What the reason? Do you have to start lower transfer case and stuff like that? I have a third gen . I’m asking just for knowledge. You don’t have to tell every move. I’m just asking

6" requires drop bracket iirc.... Crossmember cutting, and u actually lower ground clearance unless u make up for it with huge tires.

Unless it's a 2wd 6lugger/prerunner then u can use lift spindles, throw on some 5100s and use the higher setting on them.

Bigger tires you’ll want to re-gear.
If you’ve got the money to do it right 6” on 35’s looks good.

No I don’t want so crazy stuff on it... just enough for me to drive in the trail out in the forest.

Stock, 2" or 3"

U say "forest".... The higher the lift, the more u may have branches scraping across the roof?

get an OME (old man emu) suspension lift. You can get the whole package new front shocks and springs, rear shocks and shackles, and new taller Dakar leaf springs for about $1200.

Affordable functional 3in lift.

Another option would be adjustable bilstein 5100s up front.
