Tailgate Strenght

Read how the tailgates on Tacoma's are weak and bend. This is my first Tacoma. Doe the new ones still have that issue? Would like to be Able to sit with friends, stand and load items without concern. Any insight? Thanks much

I've sat with friends and loaded my ATV but that's it. I wouldn't go any more than that because they are pretty weak. You can always get a reinforcement.

You’ll be fine unless your having a dance off with morbidly obese people on your tailgate.

I dunno, ive had 600lbs on my tailgate before and its an 06... not folded yet, but theres def horror stories
