Things I DON’T like about my Tacoma

Or better, ‘why didn’t Toyota ask me about this first?’

LED interior lamps (lack of)
Only one bulb in the dome lamp
There is more, none of which make me wish I had bought something else...

You know how you have that proximity switch or whatever it is in the driver’s door handle... why ain’t they one like it on the front passenger door? I still open the door for Mrs. AD, and her Highlander has that feature, so...

Yeah. That is one thing I’ve never understood why they didn’t add.

He didn’t specify which generation of Tacoma in the thread title so your good.

2016 thread but if you insist...

3rd gen:
Engine downsizing(can probably be fixed with a good tune in place of the Toyota bitch tune)
Styling (big grill Toyota thinking)

2nd gen (mine when new):
No USB
No rear 12 volt
No rear A/C vents
No storage (just extra cup holders)
No electric rear slider
No cargo lamp
Weak leaf springs
Cheap headlights (factory ones lasted 6ish years before the DTRL lenses started melting...replacements from toyota already looking bad after 2 years)
Windshield seal noise
Mileage was no better than a full size

In general (mid size problems):

No interior space (can’t even put a pizza box on the floor)
No bed space

I could have fixed the last 2 with a full size but I didn’t think I needed one.

You went a lot easier than I thought you would. Lol.

Totally agree with the rear AC vents and rear 12 volt outlet.
I like my big old screen door of a Grille on the third gen. [emoji41]

Could be worse. My 18 OR doesn't have one on any door :-(

On the third gen with a manual transmission a pedal commander makes the engine really come alive.[emoji16]
