I have a 2005 tacoma v6 and my truck got stuck in 4x the other day while trying to disengage it the lights just flashed on the dash.
Long story short the actuator at the tcase is bad. Had water and mud inside it for who knows how long.
Took it out and cleaned it up, turns out the contacts have worn through and corroded. It will switch into 4hi but I have to manually turn it back to 2hi or 4lo.
Looking to put in a used one from a junkyard if possible ,Dealer part is $1k.
What tacoma years will fit my truck for this part? Either just the actuator or should I swap the whole transfer case?
