Travel Trailer

I currently have a 2011 4x4 Tacoma. Please let me know if someone with a similar truck has pulled a travel trailer under 20' that weighs up to 3200lbs up mountain passes, etc. When I do a google search on pulling a travel trailer with a Tacoma, they usually suggest under 2000lbs.

My car is much simpler, although it's the same make.It handled the twists and turns like a champ! As for towing, I've heard folks towing trailers around the 2500-3000 lbs range with their Tacomas, so your 3200lbs might be doable.

I've got a 2010 Tacoma, and I've pulled a 19-footer weighing around 2800lbs up some decent mountain passes without much trouble. It handled well, but I'd recommend checking your transmission cooler and brakes, just to be on the safe side. As for those Google suggestions, I get it. They tend to err on the side of caution.
