Unknown fluid found

Tacoma2016

New Member
Hi all,
I'm new to the forum.
I have a 2016 Limited and found an unknown fluid (presumably a lubricant) on the ground near my front passenger tire. Here is a picture from below - any ideas what this could be?

It hasn't affected the operation of the truck in anyway that I've been able to tell - just not sure if there is a problem brewing.

I'm assuming the issue is at least in part due to the use of 4WD on dry roads (facepalm).

Any guidance with what to do (including nothing if it's not serious) would be helpful. TIA

replace the cv joint yourself $60 to $100. Take it to a mechanic $200 - $300. takt to the dealer $300 - $400.

You can buy the boot, but it is a bitch to put on. I always buy the rebuilt and all i have to do is take the old one out and install the rebuilt.
