What’s a good alternative to Carfax for checking a car’s history?

Hey everyone,

I’m thinking about getting a 2024 Toyota Tacoma and want to make sure everything checks out first. I’m mainly looking to see if there are any red flags like accidents or title issues, but I don’t really want to spend a ton on something like Carfax.

Have you guys used any other services that are reliable but more affordable? I’d love to hear your suggestions.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I had to dig around quite a bit, but I stumbled on a site Detailed Vehicle History, where you can get a super detailed report on vehicles at a reasonable price. I even grilled their chat rep with tons of questions, and to my surprise, they were super patient and answered everything. They also gave me a 40% discount for my first purchase using the code SAVE40. The report was packed with all the details I needed—definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for an alternative to Carfax!

In buying a used car is Car Fax still the gold standard in data? I really dont want to spend over 30 bucks for this report? Are there others that are just as good but cheaper?
