What year and model is this Tacoma?

It's impossible to tell what year it is, since it's a 2nd gen (05-11). If you wanted the year you'd have to contact the owner or get the vin number and give it to the dealer for them to find out.

Plug in the bed?

I don't know what year, so I can't really give a prize for the right answer. I'm just looking to buy a Tacoma like this and I wanted to refine my used vehicle search.

The Tacoma sport and off-road have a 110v outlet in the bed of the truck. You can run some Christmas lights or a small radio off it.
It's somewhere between a 2005 and a 2015.
Depending on budget and options you want that will narrow your search.
2015 will coast around 25-30k
2005 about 10-15k.
Do the math for the middle 8 years.

You can tell what year a vehicle is by the vin on your own you don't have to call the dealer.

The 10th character in the 17-character VIN represents the vehicle model-year.

This applies to vehicles built in or after 1981. VINs do not include the letters I (i), O (o), Q (q), U (u) or Z (z), or the number 0 on the 10th character so that they will not be confused with similar looking numbers/letters.
Here's the chart that's used. It repeats after 30 years so use common sense after 2010.

If it's got an "A" as the 10th character and it looks new it's not an 80' Tacoma.

Pretty neat, guess ya learn something new every day :D

I'm considering buying a 2008 Tacoma TRD Sport (similar to the one pictured). What should I know about the frame?

Depending on where you live, check for heavy rust. Surface rust is nothing.

You can type the VIN into the Toyota Owner's site, even if you aren't an owner, to get truck details.
