Wheel setup

Swapped my stock 16's for some Tundra xsp enkei 20's... the overall diameter of the wheel is almost identical, with the 20 inch wheel actually being about .5 of an inch smaller than my stock setup

265/65/16
265/50/20

I do feel a difference, when I drive it takes longer to pick up those Rpms (not much of difference though) and I seem to turn the steering wheel more when I make sharp turns. I would assume the weight of the rims play a factor in this? I assume that if I swap the wheels I would need to redo the alignment?

Also forgot to mention... I'm running stock suspension, although I did get new leaf springs ( if that has any significance) due to recall.

Please let me know your thoughts, thanks guys.

The wheels are great looking and great for the street. Off road not so Bueno, but to each his own.

The larger wheels will definitely cause a drop on gas mileage and performance due to weight. Also ride comfort. If the tire diameter is the same there should be no need for alignment since your not doing any changes to the suspension.

Longshore- I agree, but I don't really off road. I would like to get some low pro all terrains though, I like the look of all terrain tire treading.

TacoKen- I did notice a slight difference, but my gas mileage hasn't changed much maybe because I haven't stepped on the gas yet. Do you know how much a stock 16 inch wheel weighs? I could've sworn that the difference wasn't much when I swapped the wheels myself.

Now that I think of it, an all terrain tire would kinda be counterproductive as it probably weighs more than an all season tire
