Wheels

Anyone out there have a -12 offset wheel I can see from the front view???I'd like to see exactly how much the tire sticks out...

ImageUploadedByTaco Forum1428594879.480420.jpgnot a very good pic. Also you have to mentally subtract 3/4" for the lift spindle. The rear will show how much it sticks out with a -12mm offset though.

I've been meaning to ask you... Does the spindle lift handle well? Anything you shouldn't do with it? Do you have to do any major mods/deletes/cutting to install the spindle lift? Any body cuts to avoid rubbing with (at least) 285s? Last question... When you say "mentally subtract 3/4", you're speaking for the fact that not everyone will have this particular lift?
---sorry for being so specific, but your truck is pretty sick---

Now I'm no mechanic, but I'll take a beer and look at your truck anyway...

Handles fine. Opted for the Bilstein adj. shocks for the front and Bilstein shocks for the rear.
Yes. Had to cut body mounts and a bit of the fender liner and metal. Still rubs on the left side while in a turn and wheel flexes upward.
Yeah, if you go with a 3" lift or level kit, truck goes straight up. With the spindle lift (4" or greater) the wheels are extended downward and outward to achieve the lift. So if you aren't doing the spindle lift mentally kick in my front wheels 3/4" in the pic I posted. The rear wheels stick out just the -12mm offset because it's just a 4" block.

Here's what he's talking about when he's saying 3/4", I have the same lift and it brings it out 3/4" of an inch from stock ImageUploadedByTaco Forum1428894090.972972.jpg

Yeah, if I had to do it again I would get the 0 offset wheels. Then I wouldn't have the rubbing issue possibly.

You used 3/4" spacers on the rear?
Brand? And how much?
If I ever change wheels (don't know when because I love mine so much) I'll need those spacers.

I have 1.25" all around so the front is technically 2" wider and the rear is 1.25"...so if I wanted them to be even I would have to get 2" in the rear and keep the front the same. They're Spidertrax and I got em from a guy off craigslist for $170 brand new. I don't blame you on the wheel part, I love them!!

Oh and thanks. I like it.

A little off topic, but Taco Maker knows why...
The hood scoop they gave me, which I had already told them wouldn't fitImageUploadedByTaco Forum1430323114.579966.jpg

Please help me find the correct part of you can. The "parts specialists" at Toyota won't search for it unless I have a VIN for some reason

Yeah. The reason is to keep people from altering a specific non TRD vehicle to look like a TRD vehicle.
Then a person could sell it for a higher price thus price gouging another.
