To start my day off.......oil change oh yea!
Need to replace cabin filter as well, just checked mine never been changed :cursing: be getting one later today.

Yesterday: I hooked my always on 12V outlet up under the hood, works fine. Now I can use my trouble light there with plenty of cord and not have the key turned on.

Got ambitious and painted my stock rims flat black.

Did you spray your rims? What kind of prep is involved in something like that?

Yes I did.

Car wash 1st.
Rough sand them to get a bite for the paint.
Cleaned with rubbing alcohol
Taped them off with paper and painters tape, you can use 3X5 cards.
2 coats of Rust-oleum self etching primer
4 coats of Rust-oleum flat black
2 coats of Krylon Rust Tough enamel flat black
3 coats of Rust-oleum matte clear coat

Same for center caps except I used a solo cup with bottom cut off to place over center cap to paint
3 coats Rust-oleum gloss colonial red for Toyota T emblem
Then used play-doh to fill emblem to paint rest black (as above)
Clean out play-doh to matte clear coat all of it

To this day no chips, holding up well been a few months since I've done it, been alot of rain and mud on the tires since, some gravel slinging. If they chip I can always touch up. Also been thru several car washes. Holds up to power-hose & automatic washes.

Had a lot of comps on them even a guy at the dealer told me he remembers them coming out like that, and they no longer do that. I didn't tell him I painted them.

Look what I got in the mail today  My ex wife called said it's on top of the TV bookcase, I'll stop after work tomorrow and pick them up. Can't wait to install this badboy!

Yes, Andres makes them. Due to legal issues with Toyota he can only make them twice a year with their approval. April and Oct for a short period of time, about a week or two. Get your name on the list for the Oct run if you want one. Or there might be someone selling a used one here. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/buy-sell-trade/236979-items-sale-made-andres.html

Best bet is to wait for the Oct run. He has been making them for several years now. He's the only one that can legally make them for sale as far as I know. He's a standup guy. It was a 2 month wait after I paid for it but he does deliver. The product is top notch and fabricated from natural raw aluminum. He also has a new one called the model T. All installation hardware is included. It's not the cheap plastic emblem that comes factory on your truck, but a real metal emblem. The only reason it took longer than normal was he wasn't happy with the way some of the horns on fire came out which is the one I got and sent back for further processing.

I scraped the sh@?&t out of my front bumper, today. That's what I did today. I don't even have 500 miles on this truck yet

My gf says I baby my truck and that I park way too far in parking lots away from other cars and it upsets her that I won't let her wash my truck...haha no offense to her but if my trucks gonna get dented or scratched it's gonna be by me!

I do the same thing. I use the one space rule whenever possible. Never park right next to anybody!
