4x4 low

I'm just got a 2003 tacoma sr5 4x4 I know to put it in 4x4 high I just stop and change it but what about 4x4 low, do I have to put it in neutral?

4wd high while moving. No need to be stopped for high but don't shift while the rear wheels are spinning and let off the throttle to make the shift easier.

4wd low while stopped with the trans in neutral (auto) or the clutch down to the floor (manual). Get into high range before low so the shift into low is easier. There is more info on the card in the visor or the owner's manual.
