96 Tacoma 2.7 crankshaft position sensor

Hey guys, I just got a 96 Tacoma and its throwing a check engine code. It's p0336 cnf mod 10. It's the ckp( crankshaft position sensor range/performance circuit a) I replaced the sensor and but it's still acting up and the check engine won't turn off(same code). When I first start it up it dies in about 5 seconds if I let it idle. If I hold it at 1500 rpm for about 10 seconds and then let it back to idle it will run perfectly fine after that. Any help is much appreciated!!!:thumbup:

I have the same issue. I have done the plugs, wires, crank sensor, the timing chain with guides and still getting P0336.... I just noticed the resistance on the coil is off slightly so going to replace that tomorrow. Any luck with your code issue?
