Hey Everyone,
I'm looking for some help on an on-going issue for the past year. I have put on 7 new compressors (A/C) to which every one of them have locked up. I have taken it to several shops to which each time it ends up locking up again. Everything but the hoses and core are new: the unit, the condensor, drier, and orifice valve. It is a 1998 Toyota Tacoma, SR5 model with 240K miles. I'm about at my wits end with this thing and wanted to know if there's anything else I can do? Someone told me that possibly changing the hoses could solve the problem, but I'm really tired of spending the money for wasted projects. The high side pressure will blow your hand off, while the low side pressure will suck you in when depressing the valve. Any thoughts?
