Audio/Nav Faceplate Indicator Question

After 6 months of problem-free ownership, with the sun at the correct angle, I just realized that above the left knob, it's labeled "PUSH" and "VOL" and the right knob is labeled "TUNE" and "SCROLL". Under no conditions do these indicators light up. Is my Entune unit faulty? If so, when are they lit? If they don't light up, what's the purpose?

There may be no purpose. I can’t recall if mine lit up or not. @Bogunn is the head unit expert.

It’s normal. I guess they figured it wasn’t necessary.
Truly, every vehicle I’ve ever owned or been in has the same set up: volume and power on the left, tune on the right.
