Bottom of window trim wearing away.

At the bottom of the windows (front) just out from the body is a piece of trim that is breaking up (Plastic). It is a thin type of plastic that has not held up well at all.
It also broke up on my 1999 truck.

Does anyone know how to replace or fix this piece of trim?

When it starts breaking off there is a chrome strip underneath that does NOT look to great on a Black Tacoma.

There is no glue or anything holding the plastic to the chrome strip.:sad:
