It would still outflow what the engine can flow. Modern engines don't have all that restrictive intakes and exhausts because now a days people cry for mileage and power so the manufacturer is doing all they can to make power while keeping things quiet and efficient. Put intake and exhaust on a 3rd gen and a 2nd gen will still walk on by with ease.

I felt the same for yrs.... Then I got tired of drone when driving more than 20min on the highway. Plus it's more fun to #sleep
Back when the truck was new and weak, I wanted it to sound impressive.... Now, I realize no need for drone.
