Engine shutter. Code - cyl 4 misfire.

I'm sure this topic had been addressed and in advance, I did search the forum.

Basically, shuttering when I'm accelerating, tried holding the brake and giving it gas... So both in motion and under a load it shutters. CEL blinked 6 times and then remained on, off now. Code at AutoZone says cyl 4 misfire. Issue is intermittent.

I have to take the top and the fuel rail to replace the spark plugs and one coil, correct? And while I already have the thing apart... Shouldn't I just do all the coils?

Suggestions? Clean the MAF first to try? Bad tank of gas possible?!

Coils and plugs are accessible from the top of the valvecover. I’d swap coils and see if the issue follows the coil. You may just need plugs but generally if one coil is bad then all should be replaced.

Good advice^^^^^^.
Start simple first. I’d definitely swap coils and plugs. It’ll never hurt to replace them anyway.
Basic tuneup.

What year? I’m not sure when they had a distributor and when they switched to COP (Coil On Plug).

Well, I'm doing coils too. **** wiring harness was only $40, so I got it anyway.

- Side note. AutoZone total. $320. Military discount. -$7.99.
I mean I'm not complaining, but .....
