Hello

I am retired but helping out with equipment repairs at a reserch foundation on 11,000 acres.

We have 3 Tacomas or at leas we did until this weekend. It seems some one put the wrong floor mat in the front driver side of our 2005 Tacoma 4X4. The accelerator got stuck under the floor mat and they lost control and went in to a deep irrigation canal. No one was hurt.

The truck for all practical purposes was completely submerged.

Now I will look around this forum and see if any one has any idea if this truck can be resurrected.

Anything can be saved, but, how money is available to do it is the first question? Also, how long did the motor run, if at all with the air intake sucking water into the motor? Breathers in the axles most likely have water mixed with diff fluid. Differentials could be drained , cleaned refilled! Easy! Have damage the motor sustained is the question! Good luck!

Sorry about the truck Phil, glad no one is hurt. Resurrecting could be painful in the wallet. Got some pics?
