Help with oil pressure switch

Hi, I'm in the process of replacing my leaking oil pressure switch in my 2001 3.4L V6 tacoma. I pulled the switch out no problem. I am finding now while trying to put the new one in, I do not have enough clearance from the alternator to put my socket swivel in the socket piece to screw it in. I also tried to use a combination wrench and even a set of channel locks on the socket piece to screw it in enough to get clearance. but am finding little clearance to move the wrench or pliers side to side as well. Any one have insight on this predicament? I am really trying to avoid having to move that alternator for something as simple as putting this switch in
Thanks!

Well since no quick replies I ended up moving the alternator out of the way. No big deal really but was hoping for some " magical" trick. It really annoyed me to do it just to complete something that is as simple as screwing in a light bulb lol
