noticeable increase in fuel consumption, losing 50 tacoMiles per tank of tacoJuice... what is going on?

Some taco's use the trd k&n air filter thats pre oiled. Excessive oil gets drawn off this filter in return fouls the maf sensor.

What if I keep it outta 5th gear and just cruise in 4th
Will the mpg improve? get worse?? or just stay the same???

Should get worse as your rpm's will increase. One thing for sure, you'll wear your engine out quicker, whats left of it.

the engine is still quite very strong
you can feel how strong it actually is still it is so strong

Generally you don't notice how much power an engine loses till you drive in the same vehicle with a fresh one. I was amazed at the power of the gen3 v6 has after driving my nearly 300k mile v8 tundra all those years. The taco would smoke the tundra like it was tied to a stump.

how do U mean by smoke tied to stump?
a race??
i am not into any of that dumassrysh!t
slow and easy it does go, unless you get into that 5th gear and road ahead is clear open
throttle down

That add-on catch can will definitely make your truck go faster.

Less load in the wallet to haul.

I just read it not such a good idea for that catch can inna 5VZFE
Changes pressures within and does things

i am quite confused about that now

there was a post from a long while back here on TF that stated MPG has more significance to do with wind drag than it does with RPMs

no clue about this here...

found it under my rig as well
