duh moment...,

Around 17 gallons down the low fuel light comes on. So I figured 18 gallon tank. 'Specially when the dash sez 15 miles left.

Sitting around the dealership getting the 60k mile service and read tacoma specs. 21 gallons. Duh.

So why have a 15 mile countdown with 3-4 gallons left? Was told that's the "reserve".

They all seem to do that.
I can confirm my Ram 1500 will drive 117 kms with the low fuel light on despite its gas guzzling hemi v8.
Was still running perfectly when we pulled into the gas station.
