has anyone made a trap door in the factory skid plate so that the entire skid plate does not have to be removed to change the oil filter?

I have not. That’s would make it easier to change.

The pro skid plate has access to the oil filter.

Have you thought about an aluminum option to make removal easier? It will be fine as long as you aren't rock crawling.

I think he wants something more substantial than the stock stuff that bends if you go too fast on the freeway.

yes, that is the $400 option. Was more interested in whether anyone has cut the oem plate and fabricated a door in it.
