Stick shift

Hey peeps. Just joined the forum and loving it! I am driving tomorrow to look at a 2013 Tacoma 4x4 manual shift. I have owned couple automatics, and they were Tonka toys. However, I’ve not even driven any of the newer model stick shifts. Is there anyone that can tell me the pros and cons to the standard shift Tacoma? Thanks in advance!!

I had a 08 throw out bearing chattered bad at 24k miles took it to the shop changed it out.

Quality of the stick aside, there are many reasons why you just wouldn't like it. Diving in traffic is a big one. Another one is driving OffRoad. If you plan to crawl in 4Lo at all, get ready to try learning to two foot. I've been trying to get better at my 2017 TRD Sport MT and I'm almost ready to switch to an automatic. Drove stick shifts most of my life, but not in technical OffRoad situations like I'm into now. The stick makes it more if a chore to go wheeling when it should be fun.
My 2¢.
