I have a 2008 Tacoma 4 Door Pre-Runner. When I take my foot off of the brake at a red light it feels like a lurch or hard bump in the rear end. Like a hard jump and then it is ok. Does not seem to affect the driving it is just VERY annoying.

Axle wrap. It's been an issue since 05 and continues on the new trucks. You can retorque your U bolts. They came loose from the factory.

Weak leaf springs cause the axel to rotate when you stop. After you let off the brake it pops back which is what you’re feeling. Like @whippersnapper02 said sounds like axel wrap. I get it in my 2017 but it’s does it after I come to a stop it feels like someone hits my truck from behind.
