Tire size

Still looking at new tires. I'm currently running the stock P245/75R16 tires that came on the truck when I bought it. I'm thinking of bumping up to a larger tire - P265/75R16 - and want to make sure I won't have any issues with it fitting my stock Tacoma with factory wheels. Also, advantages/disadvantages to going to a larger tire?

Advantage - Larger tires

Disadvantage - Slightly less mileage

Yes 267/75/16s fit. I run that size and so do many others. You may or may not have to remove the front flaps.

I got 265/75/16 on my 2011 SR5. Filled in the wheel wells really nice and didn't have to cut anything...yet. I did lose about 1-2 mpg switching to that tire size, but the coopers are pretty heavy.

I have the 265/75/16 on my stock rims for an 07. The front has slight rubbing when turning nothing major. If needed the mud flaps could come off to help.
