water bypass pipe no. 1 replacement

Is there a way to replace the water bypass pipe no. 1 without taking off the intake manifold? Is there a trick? I had the plastic one that broke apart and could be install easier. I have a metal bypass pipe now and am having a difficult time getting it back in.

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks.

Realize this is 2 years late but for anyone like me who has just had this problem... Yes. You take the old plastic one out in pieces then you take the new metal tube flip it upside down and either use some tubing benders or fill it with sand to keep it from kinking bend it so it comes roughly around the same place but from the outside .
