What did you do with your Taco today

Just got back to Texas from Missouri about an hour and a half ago. Average speed was about 88-91 mph. So nice when the posted speed limit is 80mph going through Oklahoma. The snow didn't last long but it was freaking cold man. I'll take the Taco to the carwash tomorrow.

The wife and I loaded up the Taco with a kitchen table and four chairs for her sons new apartment here in Denton County. Here's the crazy part; I bought this solid oak wood set brand new in 1999 for $600 in Denver. Lost it in the divorce in 2012.

Sat in a Missouri storage locker til 2019 when my youngest son took it out of storage and put it in his new home in Kansas. He gets married and his new Mrs Taco lover wants a new kitchen table. My son calls me up and informs me if I want it come and get it.

I take the Taco on a road trip to Witchita in 2022 and drag the set back to Texas. Sat in a Texas storage locker until today. Talk about keeping a keepsake in the family, geez louise….

Loaded up the Taco with my wife's sons smaller stuff and transported it to his new apartment. Guns & ammo, pots & pans, dishes & flatware, and a coffee maker.

Drove my taco to the grocery mart to load up on vittles if we get this snowstorm. Next...drove to the post office to mail some important forms. Other than that, nothing new.

Wow. I just drove 572 miles from Dallas to Biloxi tonight. Got a phone call from my sister that my mom is in ICU. She had some sort of blood loss and when they admitted her thy ended up taking out her gall bladder. She's freaking 82 ! My BigBlue Taco made a Breaking News record of 8 hours and 3 minutes to Biloxi with 2 pitstops for gas and greasy food. The gray building in the background is the mighty Scarlet Pearl Casino. This is where she goes 3-times a week to play the penny slot machines. Man I love my Taco. Speeds were from a low 55 mph to an awesome 102 mph when following the crazy sports cars.

Took the Taco to Waffle house and transported 6, yes six All-Star Specials this morning for two sisters, Pop, and a niece and her husband and of course me. Made the orders all the same to keep it simple. Then went to a medical supply store and got my mom a walker. The Doc told her she MUST use her walker every day and everywhere to prevent her from falling.

Braved the minus windchill for a simple trip to IHOP and the grocery store. Ran out of b'fast chow.

Ya know.....its not true. The waitresses have two legs at IHOP.

Now, I'm sucking down non-white coffee, diddling on the Inet and watching El Dorado.

Took the wife to Olive Garden for supper tonight. Heavy traffic and Denton's restaurant row off i-35 was packed. On a Thursday night ? The wife said people come out in droves for Thursday night Happy Hour coz they know tomorrow is Friday and they only have to go to work with a hangover once a week.
