What is this for?

Hey all. Just purchased a 2013 Taco 4x4 V6 TRD Sport Long Bed. Loving everything about it! Found this today, circled below. What the hell is it? Where should the dial be kept! Please help the newb!!!

So thats that weird sound when i shut it off. Been wondering what that was.

I don't have that under my hood. Just an empty area so that's where I put an extra 12V outlet. So I don't hear any noises after I shut her down. Must be something they put on newer Taco's.

Only other thing that looks different is the small rectangular box that sits behind it. Don't recall seeing it on mine. Other than that pretty much a duplicate of mine. Even has the 2 holes drilled & tapped in the driver side fender behind the fusebox.

6 wires and a Denso part, I'm guessing something with the ignition?

Couldn't tell ya Tacoma Fan, if I dig around on the net I might be able to find out. As you can see I don't sport any of that. All I have there is the extra 12V outlet that I installed and if you follow the red wire you can see the mini 10 amp fuse I installed since it's directly wired to the battery.
