You likely ordered the wrong size lug nuts then blame it on them sending you junk. If you even have a smidgeon of smarts you'd dump that old worn out truck before it bankrupts you.
 
they fit just fine, same size as genuine as far as i could tell
it just broke when impact gun was used on'em
i am smarts enough to know that a 1k per month new pickup note for 6 or more years is not wise at all when it depreciates 1000s right off the lot
 
You bought those lug nuts that had too short of thread length. Thats why the end caps popped off when they bottomed out on the wheel stud using the impact gun.
As far as your old truck, thats fine as long as your able to repair everything that keeps failing on it, but if not, its unwise to hang onto it...you'll up pumping more money, and parts into it than it'll ever be worth if you haven't already. On top of it, you gotta worry how reliable it is. I've seen enough weird issues just happen out of the blue in vehicles that old that can leave one stranded. If you saved enough money as I did, you don't need to take a loan out for a new vehicle, and have your 1k note hanging over your head.
Right now I gotta head off to our local tire dealer, and blow $800 on some new tires. First major expense on my 2020 taco.:(

what kind of tires?
i am needing new tires on the '11 Taco
the ones i am looking at from DT are 1200$ quoted for Michelins
 
i also would have to ponder the 'future costs' of any electrical computer type repairs the new vehicles may or may not have in the future down the road...its an unknown

Just got back home. I had a set of kumho ht51 crugen all season tires installed. Had them do the alignment while I was there....they found the toe minutely off which was another $76. All in all $835 for everything otd. While michelin is a great tire, it cost a lot more to. I'm kind of funny when it comes to buying tires. I don't like paying a lot for anything thats going to wear out, especially tires.

Got news for you... electronic devices such as computers have proven to be more reliable than mechanical components. Its certain sensors that cause most if not all the issues.
 
sounds like a good deal on tires, better than i was looking into
maybe have to search that brand out and check it!

what are they safe speed rated
i wheel fast (over 90mph) when it safe to do so
